Be strong Desiree, the good thing about that holiday is that he should have had more time to write and maybe you will get a longer letter or heck maybe even two. Tomorrow will probably be your letter day :-)

hteb64- I hope it all goes well. I wish recruiters would spend the time with the recruits to get the proper waivers for any medical issues from the past. I know it takes longer and the paper work is a pain  but it sure is a heck of a lot better than a recruit being at bootcamp and training to become a Sailor for 4 or 5 weeks and have to worry about if he will get to stay or not. I will keep him in my prayers. And I hope you get a call or letter soon to let you know that it all worked out and he will become a Sailor. :-)

Westonsmom - I am so sorry to here about your son. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

htbe64 - When did you find out about there being a possibility of him being seperated?

Comment by Horselover SHIP 11 DIV 322 on September 8, 2011 at 5:11pm

OK   I REALLY hate to tell you this but its OK bcuz your SRs are getting it too.  It is absolutely beautiful in the Chicago area right now.  Not a cloud in the sky and about 72 degrees.  Like I said this is what your SRs are getting too!

Sorry but when you consider the weather we have to put up with here, we have a right to brag once in a while!

Comment by Micaela (AO Wife) on September 8, 2011 at 4:42pm
