Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by DRod's mom (HM-S.A.) on September 1, 2011 at 10:15am: My SR 's posted this morning, thank goodness. His bills are ready to be pd as well. Didn't know how I would cover mine and his. He banks locally so I would check again later. Hope that is encouraging .

Comment by Micaela (AO Wife) on September 1, 2011 at 10:09am: My SR got paid today....so there could be a few things happening if you havent seen anything yet. 1) They deposit at random times during the day, from what i have been told its not all at once. 2)The opened a navy federal bank account..which your SR needs to send you the information to access it. even with a POA they will take 30 days to even speak to you. So my advice is to give it a day....or unfortunately if you do not see anything do not wait until you are over water. contact redcross and they will contact him in regards to your issue. I know you wont want to but you cannot do that to yourself while he is gone.
