OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Finally made it home. I'm trying to post pics on FB but it will take awhile! I'm exhausted but oh so happy!

I was able to text him this morning before we left. It's a great feeling to be able to send him a message and get an immediate response!

I have some things to share about PIR/hotel/food. But not today...too tired!

Wow Kathyann, that went right over my head. LOL. I did recognize the word hotspot. My son knows everything about computers also, so I'm sure he will be giving me his order soon. He did call last night to see if I could overnight his phone ASAP!!! I know on his liberty (very short) that he was setting my smartphone up with all kinds of things.
I think you have a very responsible young man. It gave me some great ideas with my sailor, or is called an airman now? Not really sure how that works. He will go to the Theodore Roosevelt.
