Lorinda, welcome!! We're not allowed to discuss the specifics of the emails, but if you will scroll down through the notes, you will find the email address for the Ombudsman.  Start there, and they will help you get set up to receive further emails.
Glad to see so many of us here!  Makes it easier.

I'm new to the group. What was the message from the Ombudsman this morning? Thank you for your help.

Fox News just confirmed what Laqushia heard.  Of course, that still doesn't really tell us anything, but maybe it's a little ray of hope.

Thank you so much Jill

Well, I know this much.  My hat is off to you Laqushia.  It's hard on us Moms and Dads who have kids out there, but for those of you who are caring for children, or sometimes spouses of our Sailors, it has to be especially hard.  Just wanted to say  that your sacrifice is appreciated too.

I don't know how true the article is but it also stated that the stout was on stanby
Comment by Jill on August 31, 2013 at 7:11am

ok...I did find one article that mentioned the possibility that it was a replacement for the Mahan, but it wasn't a sure thing at all.  And it also said that all 5 destoyers were going to be there for a "while".  We all know what that can mean.
I hope and pray that you are right, but already feeling the beginnings of guilt if it turns out to be true.  I have friends who have loved ones on the other ships too.
