Good afternoon! Is this group still active? I haven't had any luck getting approved for the facebook group and was hoping to find some others moms around. The Oak HIll is my daughter's first duty station and she has been there for a couple months now.

LarLar and any moms,

We have one sailor who comes over to our house and has been coming over since the fall of 2011. We would be happy to invite your sailor(s) over to join us on the weekends. Saturday night we eat and play board games and Sunday we sit down to a home cooked meal including home made read and dessert.  Some of the sailors even join in on the cooking. :) We even provide rides for those who don't have transportation.

Welocme Abooard TyMama!

I wasn't sure how creating a page for a ship would turn out.  I am new to the Navy and Navy for Moms, so this is a welcome post!

Wow!  What a fantastic time at Fleet Week!  Being on the Oak Hill, meeting some of the crew and officers, and walking around the Big Apple with my Sailor amongst many other Sailors, Marines and Coasties!  Thank you NYC for welcoming us all.

Keep watching, Fleet Week is coming soon.  Any Oak Hill moms attending?  Any good places to stay in Manhattan, near Pier 92?

I am a newer N4M member, only two years in since my sailors BC.  Couldn't find any other OAK HILL forums, so we shall see where this goes.
