Mary - I did get one last night, Said he was fine, busy, not much sleep..  He did say he could get the email most time, just couldn't send any out.  It has been a long 50 or so days with no communication.  Looking forward to hearing from him before too long.

Mary - I look here everyday, hoping someone has heard something. My son has gone on several underways, but this is the longest he has been out that we have not heard anything. We went to visit the weekend before they left and actually got to go on the sub.  He showed us his rack and some of the common areas and the office where he was to be working some.  He is a nuke EM so we didn't get to see any of that area, but he is helping with testing so spends some time in an office.  His rack is in a room with 8 others, kinda "U" shaped room with three racks on each side.  His in on the top, and no ladder :) so just kinda swings up there!!  I did take him a box with a card to open for each week he was gone - it made me feel better - hope he looks at them and knows we are thinking about him.  But..it is hard to not hear anything.  Looking forward to getting to visit with him sometime this summer.  Oh....my sisters and I go on a sister's trip each year.  It was my turn to decide this year and couldn't decide where to go, so we are going to stay in his apartment in Kingsland and take some day trips to Jekyll Island and St. Augustine and do some shopping in Jacksonville.  (only problem - he doesn't know we are staying in his apt.!!) I have sent him an e-mail asking, but since we haven't heard..and I do have a key..we are going anyway!! If you do hear anything from your son, please let me know. Thanks!!

My son reported to Blue Crew last week. All he could tell me about Gold is that they should be back sometime around June. Don't you just love OpSec? But hey, its there to keep our LOs safe.

Hi Yolanda. Welcome to the group.  Tell us a little about your son. What's his rate and rating. Is he on Blue or Gold?

There is very little information available for the Tennessee. (I understand Op Sec, but even the official Navy page for the Tennessee is pretty devoid of information as opposed to say USS Louisiana.)

Anyway, my son has been assigned to the Tennessee and I wanted a forum to find out/share about any information that we can.
