Nuke School Charleston

1proudmama, my son is also class 1402.  He is an ET. Talked with him last night. He's having a rough time right now. But he wants to pass and he sounds like he is going to try hard.

does anyone know when class 1430 is supposed to graduate...

I talked to my son last weekend and his exam grades seem to be going up. So, I'm hopeful that things have "clicked" and he's starting to get it. But, he doesn't graduate until Aug 1st. So, he has a ways to go to finish. Hoping things continue to get better for him.

The boy wonder mom, that is great news.  The important thing is he is caught up with the class now and is not falling behind. Just make sure the one he flunked that he relearns the material he will need to know it on the final comp exam.  Good luck to everyone.

seems like tests are starting to get harder for 1402 group. Son was testing in mid 3's now 2.7 last test. failing last test by .02. just told him to make it over the 2.5 mark and all will be good. 1st half of power school was a lot easier and enjoyable for him. Hang in there fellow 1402's we will make it through.

I got my 1402 invitation also!!!!  So excited!!!!

Apparently my son ran a 10:15 mile and half and 96 sit-ups and 90 push-ups. So, now he is only on voluntary pt. :) He said that means he doesn't have to get up until 7 instead of 5:15. That's good, cuz now he'll have more study time. ;)  He's in 1403. Good luck to all our sailors...hope they did well!!!

Dinky, that's great! Ya, my son seemed happy to have extra time to himself. Haha. Way to go 1403!!! Hope everyone is having a great day today! We're half way through another week. I know my son is busy studying for another exam Friday. He's worried, as always. But, trying not to stress. Just doing his best. :)

My son was on voluntary PT and voluntary study hours during power school.  Of course to get to that point in the first place you have to do some PT and do some studying Lol.

Just got my moving info from my husband who is @ bootcamp.

We're all going to be missing our son's more than ever come Sunday. I'm excited for the phone call though. Happy Mother's Day to you all! 

OMG! So, my son just told me did so well on his test today and others recently that he's brought his GPA up to 2.98. That is a Mother's day gift to me. (He doesn't realize it, I'm sure, but that's ok.) :D SOOO HAPPY! What a great day! 

Daughter graduated this week-end and arrived yesterday in Charleston... a new chapter begins.

My son also graduated this weekend and is in Charleston, SC. He was very excited to be back in the south as SC is our home state. He will be only 3 hour drive from me. Truly lucky!

Just got word my son passed his A-school comps so he'll be ET3!
We're going down for graduation, so anyone else with a sailor in 1407T send me a PM if you want me to try to get pics.

CONGRATS to all the graduates!!! Hope you all had a wonderful mother's day as well! I missed my son, but we did get to talk. Dang he sounds soooo grown up. I can hear the positiveness in his voice, too. All made my day. :)

Nuclear field A schools begin every week.

Hi moms!

My son is in 1402, graduating 6/6/14. I think it's gonna go down to the wire. He is not making that great on his tests. I so hope that he passes. I know he would be disappointed if he didn't.

I forgot to say that it is Power School graduation on 6/6/14.

Does anyone know the grad date or end date of 1424 for the first 14 weeks of A school?  By my count I'm thinking end of Junish...but I need something more specific. 

B'sMomLa - my husband is in class 1415 (used to be 1412, but they changed classes) and their graduation is June 20th I believe, so 1424 will probably be a little bit after that

My son is in 1424 and he recently confirmed grad on August 22. 

I thought they got leave after the first 14 weeks of school which would be late June.

Looking for a bit of advice to send my son.  He is having trouble with his roomate's lack of hygiene, cleanliness and doing laundry.  They just got a grossly unsat room inspection (not many passing ones). The roommate was even moved to a "clean room" for a while and then my son had decent room inspections when he was gone.  This is the second one since he came back and it had a hit due to the odor in the room (from the roommates dirty laundry in the closet).   The suite mates have also noticed and commented on the odor before.  He has talked to his SLPO and chief about this inspection and my son still had to do EMI.  Thoughts?!?
