PamperedMom, Boy do I wish I am on pins and needles waiting.

Too early for I'm a Sailor calls!  But...they can start in about 2 hours.  So keep those phones in the bras, ladies!  Don't want to miss this one!  We think that 261-264 went through last night.  Be sure to ask your new sailor if all passed in that division and post.  Some will have "watch" and will not be able to call right away.   Be ready for some TIRED sailors....they have been awake since early yesterday morning, but will get to "hit their racks" by 8 pm tonight rather than 10 pm!  HOOYAH!

Tomorrow is Captains Cup!  Fun day for all divisions in this PIR group!  Here is the link to the info:

Hi diannep-- since we are all waiting for call today..div 261 thru 264 that is ..do you think they go in order by div?..trying to picture hundred plus running to phones..so i wonder if there is a order?..i know from navydep.com its 1-7 their time with duties after BS ..and so cool you say they get to go to bed early with CC tomorrow they will need their energy!

I hope everyone had a good day, we are heading to Wilmington to move our daughter into college. It will be late tonight when we get there so I will check in with everyone tomorrow. The good news is our Sailor is meeting us there. So we will get to spend the weekend with her as well. She is surprising her sister with a new bike so she won't have to walk to classes :-) Please keep us all in your prayers as we travel. Thanks so much, Lala

Got my "I'm a Sailor" call today.  So proud of my son and all of Division 262.  Congratulations to all the Sailors that went through BS last night!

Congratulations everyone!!! We are on our way out to the fleet with our official sailors!!! Wow this has been a great ride. I can't wait until the 24th!!! Not much longer. What a proud day that will be for all of us. God Bless our sailors!

I am one very happy and proud Navy Mom!!!!  Great Job Division 261!!!  I would like to thank the Sailor that added my niece to his guest list. She is very close to my son as she took care of my boys when I battled breast cancer 16 years ago. My Sailor was only 2 1/2 and she was my salvation with my boys. I hope I can thank you in person next Friday!!

I am so happy for you guys, Congrats to all the new Sailors Bravo Zulu!!!!

hooyah  261 congrats to all the moms we have almost survived bc i talked to my son for about 40 mins yesterday and today im on cloud  nine he sounds so good i cait wait to see him the worst is over and they are havin some fun today thats wonderful    thank you to the sailor that gave my daughter and my sons grand dad a spot  on her list now my son can have everyone there hope i get to thank her myself  well ill float on air today  congrats moms

I was walking out of the hotel early this morning while my family was sleeping and a woman was struggling with two suitcases. I helped out to her car and saw an Army mom decal on her window. I asked about her soldier and she started to cry. She came in yesterday to welcome him home from Afghanistan. He has only been in a year and has already been there for just shy of 7 months and just got back yesterday. She wanted to spend more time with him but has to go back to work so she had to leave today. My heart was breaking for her. We talked for almost an hour and I told her all about this website even though there are very few Army Moms here that doesn't really matter. We all know what it is like to have a loved one in the military and be missing them. The one thing she said that all of us here can relate to is her family just doesn't understand what she is feeling and why it is so hard for her. They think she should be stronger. He is her only child and she is a single mom. She seemed so much better after talking to me/someone who understands what she is going through and is willing to listen to her. I'm not sure how long her son will be back at FT Bragg. He got married right before basic training and his wife, whom he has barely even lived with is 7 months pregnant. This moms name is Carrie, so please keep her and her soldier, his wife and baby in your thoughts and prayers.  Thanks so much

Yeah!  we got another call tonight from recruit heaven!  How awesome is that!!!

Yesterday, got the MOST awesome call "Mom, I'm a United States Sailor!".....I cannot tell you the joy and pride I felt in that moment......today we got more calls from "recruit heaven", he is on cloud 9 and doing great!  6 days an i will be hugging my baby boy!  CANNOT WAIT!  Thank you Navy4Moms for all your love and support!!  This sight is awesome!

mkcmom:  Those words send chills, don't they?  Just wait until you see him marching in uniform!  Wow....

Lala:  How wonderful that you were there when she needed you.  Definitely a "God thing!"  I would love to see her pop in on this site for support from ladies missing their military men/women!   Doesn't matter what branch of the service they are in...they all belong to us!

That is an amazing story LaLa, I will keep all moms in my prayers. What a difference you have made. I think that was God putting you there right then. Job well done!!!

Lala, it was so great meeting you and my new Navy mom friends!!  You all are so special.  This place has helped me get through my own boot camp. Thank you all.  Only a few more days left.  Now it's time to start packing!!

ok, any v etern moms out there that can tell me if there are IRONS in the rooms at Navy Lodge (for PIR)???  Or should I pack one?

mkcmom:  Lala or FTLW (maybe ellen too?) can tell you that.  They stayed there.  They should be back on here soon!

mkcmom : i just check navy lodge web site , they do have iron/iron board available.  but i am not sure it is in the room or not.  you can give them a call to find out.

If I remember correctly there is one in the rooms. Honestly I can't remember any hotel we have stayed in over the last several years that didn't have them in every room. I am pretty sure they did as well.

Our girl is a SAILOR!!! Div 266. Seh said everyone passed Battlestation but  they lost a couple in their division due to not passing other tests.

So sad that some didn't pass the tests. Hopefully not anyone from this site and hopefully they will pass it quickly and be able to do battle stations with a different DIV this week and still PIR on time.

I just wanted to wish you all a great PIR week.  My son has been home for 4 weeks and has been itching to get back. He has tendonitis in his shoulder, so going back will most likely not be an option.

I haven't forgotten about you all and wish you and your sailors the best!!

We finally got the call our Baby Girl is a SAILOR she said she was tired but excited

So good to hear from you Momof4, I hope your son continues to heal and I hope he can go back to boot camp if that is what he wants to do.

sputnik114 I tried to send a response earlier- when I talked to Brittany(I am Brittany's mom-haven't talked to you in a while) earlier she mentioned your daughter and that she had made it, potential weekend plans, etc- I didn't want you to worry. I am so happy for you that you were able to talk to her yourself.
