  • Looking for details on Clearance process

    Hi everyone!  My son just arrived at Dam Neck on Saturday and I am curious about the background clearance and what all it entails.  All I know at this point is that they needed a copy of his passport, and they have send cards to our neighbors.  Does anyone have more information on the scope of this?

  • When can a sailor take a 12 -24 hr leave?

    I was wondering if anyone knew when a sailor at IS school could take a leave..say 12 hrs or 24 hrs?  Also, if a sailor is in A or C school are they required to stay during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays?Thanks!

    My daughter got to call from Bootcamp twice for info for her IS background check, I got to hear her voice and asked her how she was ( she said good she just got freaked out by shot) I was so happy and blessed and two calls so happy Man I miss her!

    My son is in the DEP pool now.  He will be going to boot July 14th, then on to IS A school.  Once he graduates A school will he be able to pick his specialty for C school or is it assigned?
