Of particular importance is the use of the “Search” function. You should do searches in blogs, forums, discussions for answers in previously posted threads BEFORE adding a NEW blog/discussion. Hello,
Glad to hear from someone else in that division. I know its tough my son and daughter-in-law are both in the Army, he left for boot camp 12 years ago and loved it they are both career Army. He is currently serving his second tour in Iraq.Chelsea is our Granddaughter but she has been with us the last four years, and it is even tougher to let go this time. Like you though we are very proud of her choice, I think the Navy offers young people some wonderful opportunites, but we sure do miss her. I guess we'll have to get use to the empty nest again. We are from Indiana so we are about four hours away and anxiously anticipating PIR.
My son is there now & with your son. He is my only child or as he say my only Man son but I miss him so much. Hope your doing well & God Bless You & Your Son
I am assuming that your photo is of you and your son. Very nice. My photo is of my daughter snorkeling in the Bahamas. She is one of the most amazing young ladies I have ever known. I haven't heard anything yet but did print out those form letters with all the questions that we all want to know but forget to ask. Kinda funny stuff. I live up in Alaska and can't wait to visit Chicago. I am planning on being there for about 5 days so that I can see the city but being that it is Labor day weekend I am afraid it is going to be packed. How about you guys?
Yeppity! I bought the plane tickets last night so it's a done deal. I am so excited! We will be getting a room close by with a hotel that has shuttle service. Trying to figure out the logistics when you don't have a lay of the land is tough. And it is expensive! Car rentals are $35./DAY! It's all good tho and I am anxious to see my widdle princess again all grown up! Well, at least dressed like a grown up. She was well known for her weird outfits up here!
