Hi, I'm doing good. My name is Michelle (or Chell for short) and my son's name is Evan. What's your daughter's name? Have you joined the group PIR 9/23/11 TG 45? It's made up of all of us who have SRs graduating 9/23. Looking forward to talking more.
its nice to meet you!!! I am doing ok just wish i would hear something from her as well you are thinking and feeling the same. She is my baby so now I am also dealing with empty nest too. My other is living out of state too. How about you? anymore at home?
Nice to e-meet you. My son is Ship11/Div 317. He's my first born, who was also 4 weeks premature, so it's been really tough not hearing his voice and seeing his great smile for the last 2-1/2 weeks. I also have a daughter who will be a Junior in high school, so only 2 more years until I'll have to go through the actual "empty nest syndrome".
My son is the oldest. He is 21 and thought hard about going into the Navy. He tried college and the Navy thing was still in his head. He was in the DEP for a full year so we had a long time to get adjusted to the idea. It's hard on his little sister because they are so close. She's in college this year(Neumann University) but is comuting, thank God. I don't think I could deal with both leaving at the same time.
Hi Tammy...glad to meet you and very glad you joined the PIR 9/23 group. I think the Meet & Greet will be fun. After talking to everyone so long on this group, it will be nice to meet face to face. I'm really, really hoping our SRs were able to write this past Sunday....real letters may be on their way! My son was an early arrival and had to wait over a week for the division to fill. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since he arrived at GL. Talk to you more soon. chell
