Thanks so much for the info.  I haven't logged in since I signed up, but my son left  today and I just received his call.   Thanks to this site, I was well prepared when I heard his voice and heard how straight to the point and matter of fact his conversation was...other members mentioned that the first call would be that way, so that put me at ease :)

Where do I go on N4M to get the parking permit for PIR 8/24/12 is it too early when do I get it.  Can't find where to look anymore?

Lexie got orders to the USS San Jacinto out of Norfolk...kind of ironic considering that is where her dad and met, married, and she was born lol! I am very excited for her as it is a cruiser and a small boy so she will get to go to lots of cool ports! She was bummed as she wanted San Diego with 
Dillon (but who doesnt want SD lol!) I really never wanted to go back to Norfolk but for Lexie I will make the sacrifice lol!

Does anyone know where I can find some information about two recruits wanting to get married?  They are both in BC now graduating two weeks from each other and desperately want to be together, which I know will be near to impossible.  I need some information on who they need to ask to get permission from to marry,  if they can be stationed at the same base, how long that will take,  etc.  I really need this information to pass it along to them.  I don't know if they even know who to speak to to find out information like this.

I was referred to your page for calling cards.  I was not very informed before my son left and didnt know he was to take stamps and calling cards.  I will send him some as soon as Im able to.

Hi! My SR is in Bootcamp right now and I heard that you can help get calling cards. We dont have a landline at home. We only have a cell phone. I didnt know my SR needed a calling card for bootcamp. How are calling cards obtain?

Hello, my son will be leaving for BC on 12.11.12. We just found out his departure date last Friday and trying to get everything prepared for him. Was told to contact you in regards to phone card for him. Don't know if the time crunch will present a problem. Thank you so much for info.

Ronny, I wanted to thank you in advance for supporting all us sailors, ur support and the support of others is what keeps us going, I'll be shipping out in 9 days. I would hope to get a phone card to keep in contact with my family n friends, how can i get a phone card through your program.

Thank you so much for the info on the cards, I will definately get to the site this summer as he is scheduled to head off Oct 22, that is awesome that you started the program.  I am still trying to figure out how to work this site.. .  :) So I havent had much discussions, but once I do figure it out, I will be all over questions and support!!  I think I am in a little denial, he hasnt even graduated high school, so the thought of him leaving seems far off. Although I know that October will come quick! And we have always been supportive and encouraged the miliary, but now that its happening, I am a little apprehensive, as most parents are I am sure. Thanks again for sharing your sons story with me!!

My "baby" leaves on April 1st...I'm not doing so well with it, but he's excited and is an Aviation Ordanceman! My daughter will be attending officer's training in Newport, RI next month.  Then off to Pendelton as a critical care nurse.  I want to attend the graduation, and will go into some major debt, but too important an event to miss.  I live in Arizona.  Any tips on affordable accommodations in Newport for the 2 days I'll be there?  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!

Hi Ronny, Thank you for the warm welcome, our SR is currently in BC, he left on 2/26/13, if all goes well, he goes to ASchool in Pen, Fl, We have not heard from him since the "I'm here call", we anxiously wait for any info from him, we sent him with a calling card which came back in his box, we don't know why that happened, but, we mailed it back to him, so thank you again for your support, and congratulations on your family's serving our country so diligently, God Blees You and your Family!!

Hello Ronny, Thank you for your warm welcome!! My Son is an ADAR Aviation Mechanic and is currently stationed in Jacksonville, FL. I wish I would have known about the phone cards sooner. I'm just really glad that I found a place of support for Navy Moms like me!!  Thank You again for your kindness!! Its difficult at times especially because my son may be deployed in May and its very hard for me!

Thank you Ronny -- My son is currently training as a US Navy Pilot in Corpus Christi, TX.  He has been in the Navy for 11 years.  After his winging in June, he will be returning to Norfolk, VA to a squadron there.  I appreciate your warm welcome, thank you!!
