I moved to Great Lakes to be with James and I see him every day that he doesn't have duty! Mondays through Fridays since he's phase 2 he can come off base when he's done with class (4) and just has to check back in by 9:45. Then on the weekends he gets to stay overnight. Its not long enough school to get live ashore approved probably, but even though he can't sleep with me some nights its so worth it! Best decision I ever made! :)

I forgot to mention during the weekdays of phase one, they have to stay on base. They can only go off base Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday. On days they have duty, they can't leave their barracks (every 4th day). Once they phase up to phase 2 (usually after passing test 3), then they can go off base any time they have liberty.

Hey just saw your question on the corps school site and like someone else said I can help ya out :) First of all, is your husband a grad and go? Has he graduated boot camp yet?

The weekend of PIR will go like this if he is NOT grad and go: Liberty Friday ceremony- 9. Saturday liberty 7am - 9pm, same Sunday. The week after grad weekend he will get liberty AFTER he moves over to corps side (usually that Tuesday) from 4-9:45.

If he is grad and go, he MAY have overnight liberty from Friday through Sunday, check back in Sunday around 9. Then, since he's already checked into the corps side, he will have that Monday through Friday liberty from 4-9:45.

Any other questions? Hope this helps :)
