I see you have joined Great Lakes A School Q&A; you may also want to join GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great LakesFacebook Page. What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for many of the ratings with "A" School in GL.

My son graduated in September, I remember the most exciting time was during the pass in review (PIR) ceremony, when the "garage door" opens up.  The crowd goes WILD!

If you have any questions, I'd love to help.  I'm a Navy veteran myself.

Please like my group on facebook LINK, I'm just starting out and would love the support.

I also support “calls for recruits” from products sold on ETSY if you order soon I ship next day!

If you are traveling, wishing you a safe journey.

If you can't travel; be sure to watch the video link, it's the next best thing.

By now you know your SR's PIR date, so go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. The Page, When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses, has important information for you. You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.
