See, crazy me forgot to paste the instructions!!!!

Click on "Settings" in the upper left and then click on "My Page" under "My Settings" in the middle.  The next screen says "My Page Settings" in the middle. Go down to "Address" and in the box next to "http://www.navyformoms.com/profile/", make the change to your new Username. Then go to the bottom and click the "Save" button. If you are making the changes on your Smart phone, you will need to change to Desktop View before making this change because in the mobile view, you will not have the option to make the change and the URL will already be different from your Username.

Annette,

That's ok - we all were newbies at one time!!!  You successfully changed your user name so your last name is no longer visible.  However there is another change you need to make to remove it from your URL address.  I am copying the instructions from some guidelines listed on the bootcamp moms page.  It's pretty simple.  If there is anything I can help you with please don't hesitate to ask me either on my profile page or on the Daughters 2 group page.

Annette,

First thing I need to advise you about is to remove your last name from your profile.  We don't want to ever use last name's on this website.

Secondly, I'd like to welcome you to Moms of Daughters 2.  I see you are brand new to Navy for Moms and your daughter just left for bootcamp.  Our group is made up of  friendly, caring moms who have daughters in all stages of Navy life - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment.  Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!!  We look forward to getting to know you and your sailor!!

Thirdly, I just want to let you know that if you post something to your own page, no one will see it unless they happen to drop by your page (like I did in response to your joining my group!!)  You could make your post on the group page and then the other moms can see it and respond.

If you need any help navigating this website, or just getting your feet wet on this Navy Mom journey, just let me know.  If you click on my profile picture at the top of this message, you will go to my page and leave me a comment there!!!  Welcome Aboard!!!!!!

My daughter actually leaves today and I feel so disconnected from the whole process so thank you for this support group. I'm gonna need it from moms who know what I'm going thru. My emotions are so crazy right now. Pride and fear.
