I'm right there with you Chantily.  I, too, am a fourth grade teacher here in Oregon.  School got out for me on the 5th and Luke left June 11th.  I'm having way too much time on my hands.  It doesn't help that he's my youngest, so I'm also going through empty nest!  I think it will be easier once I hear from him.

You will have to ask your Sailor for his flight itinerary. He could fly out of any of the three airports. Send him an index card about a week or so before PIR so he can write the info down for you. There is more on that in PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend, I tried to reply to you in BCM, but Phil's post is slowing things down so that I couldn't; I sure hope Colleen gets rid of him.

Welcome to NavyforMoms.com.  My name is Ronny and my son has been in the Navy since February of 2012.  He is currently stationed in San Diego with a Helicopter Squadron.  He is an Aviation Structural Mechanic.  I hope you find all the info you are looking for here, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.  My son is 3rd Generation Navy, so I do know a little about the Navy..:)
If you have a new Sailor who is in Boot Camp, or leaving soon, visit CallsforRecruits.org and I will send you FREE Pre-Paid Phone cards for your SR to use while they are in boot camp.  I started that program when my son left for Boot Camp :)
Welcome Aboard and I wish your Sailor Fair Winds and Following Seas.
