I'm glad to help.
The Rating Information Card for BU can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/bu.pdf.
Join Seabee Moms (clickable link). What will his rating (job/specialty) and I can tell you where he will go for sure and point you to the Rating Information Card. Builder (BU) and Steelworker (SW) have "A" School in Gulfport, MS at Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC).
Yes, you got it! Yes, it is fine to mention the rating (job/specialty) your SR will have. If you let me know I can let you know the groups for it on here since there are groups for most of the "A" Schools and/or ratings.
Hi DeeDee,
The last comment I received from you was about the pictures. I am glad that I had our picture up for you to see. I changed it because I read about the security and didn't want to put Amber in harms way. I think that your last name is strayer, correct? Amber said that the night before they left she played cards with your son and Philip, the boy that was sitting in front of you guys @ Meps with the blonde girlfriend. What is your sons' story and how he decided to go in the Navy? Haven't received any letters from her yet just the form letter. Hoping that with the Sunday and Holiday coming up she will be able to write a long letter. She is so animated when she talks, looking so forward to PIR to hear all about her stories. Looks like the weather up there is a little cooler than we are having here. Well hope you have a great weekend and will ttyl !!
I'm not sure what I helped with, but you are very welcome. Join the group, PIR 07/03/2013 TG 34 - 11 Divisions (247-256, and 934), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. Know that Divisions 255 and 256 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. There is a discussion within that group for the two divisions.
You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups as well as in the PIR group. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups.
