OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
learn to communicate with each other. being in the same city as them doesn't always mean you will see them every day so it is important to understand (to the best of your power) the way the other person is feeling :)
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Jacksonville, that's exciting! Things are going very well over in VA, I'm nannying for a navy family and couldn't have asked for a better family. Its definitely going to be hard to leave at the end of the summer when I return to WI to finish up my internship. How are you liking the married life?! Are you working or waiting to move?

Hi Ellie, I just saw your post to me..My son was in a room in phase one with a guy whose last name began with H i think. I know he likes him alot and wished they could be roomates when they moved. He is now in a room with 2 other people, one was already there and the other guy just phased up when he did and his last name begins with a G (he is from 802). Thankfully he is a great guy and apparently the other guy is too. My son was concerned about who he would get..lol..He likes to keep everything just so and his new roomates are the same way..He said alot of guys don't care and that makes life miserable for all involved...Your pictures are beautiful and you two look so Happy !!!
