OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

There are no groups for just loved ones of Machinery Repairman (MR), but there will be some others with loved ones in the groups I mentioned and you have joined. The Rating Information Card for MR can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/mr.pdf. You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. (See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend.)

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."

I see you have joined Engineers and Great Lakes A School Q&A; you will also want to check out Snipe Moms, Snipe Moms(enginers), and GL A-school moms as well as the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There may be other groups or info I can give you.
