OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Profile Information

A little about me:
I have 3 wonderful children! Morgan (my SR) my oldest @ the ripe age of 18! Then my daughter Jaice,16 & then my son, Bren, he just turned 11. I am so happy, blessed, proud, yet at the same time worried that my daughter chose to serve her country in the US Navy! The worry only comes in because I know our great country is at a crossroads in the world right now. But the worry is shadowed by my extreme feeling of being proud of her, who would have ever thought my little "girly girl" would have ever chosen this path! She was on the road to college with scholarships for track! I was actually shocked when she said she would talk to a recruiter! Then when she made her choice, I was the proudest I have ever been!
I am here to support my
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it

You are very welcome. You should make change number 3 within OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) to make your page more private.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect and to help you prepare for PIR. Start with the OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and Arrival and What Happens at the RTC, and read 1 or 2 pages a day and then go back to them as you need the info. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hi, I see you have joined MAA Moms. Master at Arms is a rating very dear to my heart since my Sailor is an MA. Join San Antonio MA's; the discussion, Break down week by week, will let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio). Other groups to check out are New MAA Mom's (it has not been very active, but is picking up lately) and Security Sailors (it is not as active and includes loved ones of Sailors from other ratings as well). The Rating Information Card for MA can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ma.pdf. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend. I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."
