OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Adam got his out he was in SIQ for 3 days and they broke a piece of his jaw in the process. He was then put on LLD (limited light duty). He said it was boring, but he did get to study alot. He is back doing PT and IT w/ the rest of them now.
I'm glad you got a call today too! It is so good to hear their voices!

They are are in week 3. Next week will be week 4. He didn't say that, but it makes sense on the calendar. I bet you get yours tomorrow. My mother in law got hers too. I think it is cuz we are so close. the post date on it says April 7th 2010 In Carol Streams IL. So the letters were still in Illinois yesterday.

I live in Woodland, which is 30 minutes from Oxford. My husband wont go to what they call an "A" school, he will go to Pre-Buds, which is still at great lakes. it will last 8-12 weeks, ( thank god they can hve visitors and cell phones ) My daughter and I will be moving up there to be with him while he is in pre buds though.. And then after he gets done with that, we will be relocating to San Diego, for a years worth of training, and then we will be stationed somewhere permanently.. I know exactly what you're going through.. We have a 3 yr old daughter, and it just makes it that much harder when she asks where daddy is.. I'm so ready for bootcamp to be over with... do you have facebook ? I use that alot more!

Well, he got to call last Wed, to get some info faxed, and then he called me the next night b\c he was upset, and missed me, so they let him call home.. I think his division is a little more strict, he's in special ops, so their training is a little different.. So they probably have to REALLY work for the phone calls.. But he told me Thursday that he would be able to write me Sunday, and then call this week sometime.. Just a waiting.. I send him letters every single day :) Yea, his PIR is May 14th.. It took me a few days to figure out how this site worked too, don't worry..

And you're boyfriend, I think he and my husband were in dep together.. both of you look SO familiar. Ok, wait. YES! I know where I know him from .. He was at the recruiters office the day my husband had to go sign a paper.... I remember my husband talking to him.. Thank GOD I ave found someone that's SO close to me! How are you handling this? I've been on a mental breakdown, seriously.. We've gotta get to know each other, we'll be at PIR together.. I miss my husband so much!! Have you gotten to talk to him or anything? I hope we get letters tomorrow!!!
