Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hi Joann, My son is flying out tomorrow, He is in Virginia now, I just got off the phone with him. Where is your son now? Is he flying out tomorrow also? My son seems fine I am very nervous about it, I don't know if there will be much communication while he is on the ship, and he doesn't know anything either. It will be an adventure for all of us!

Hi Joann, Wanted to welcome you to AECF group - I've been on vacation so I'm a tad behind! Congratulations to your NEW sailor! Very big accomplishment -huh?! Is your son an ET or an FC? I know you've heard about the long holds and all I can say is ...let's hope they improve as the new fiscal year begins. Our son is an FC and just graduated from C school but he spent 9 months at A school...with no holds. Please let me know if you have any questions that we can help you with.

Nice to hear from you. Tyler is going to be a Gunner's Mate. On another note, Tyler said his NEX card he received at RTC was not any good at NEX on this base. They told him it was only good on RTC NEX. Tyler had appx $30-40 left on his card. Have you heard anything about this?
