Fleet Sheets Info

Hey all!My son is home on leave and I asked how he was liking the Fleet Sheets we purchased for him. He said  "I'm so sorry they got thrown away." They had a long holiday weekend, so he was away from ship and they had some kind of inspection. That specific inspection does NOT allow anything other than issued rack bedding. He said if he knew he would have temporarily removed them. They gave no information other than...sorry we threw them away because they didn't meet the standards for that…See More

Hey there Navy Moms! First of all, I want to express my high respect for anyone that has served in the military and am extremely thankful for your service and all of our brave kids out there serving our country. Also, this site has been incredibly useful to me and I would not have survived without it. Thank you Navy moms!

I've considered blogging for a while now, I just wasn't sure where to start. My son…

Hello, yes that would be totally okay if you wanted to do that. I just sent you a friend request so 8 can message you personally. Our son is planning a trip home soon and I am planning a trip down on November 8th. If the package is here I will get it to my sailor and I'm sure he can figure out how to get it to yours. Our son graduated BC July 6th of this year. So I am fairly new to it all as well. Your never alone here, I have found so much comfort in this website.

KaraJTX,

Noticed your son is in boot camp. If he gets stationed in Virginia Beach/Norfolk we would be happy to invite him to join our activities in our home on the weekends.

You may want to join USS Eisenhower- IKE Family, CARRIER Families!, and/or Norfolk Sailors - Family & Friends. Check out http://wavy.com/category/news/military/ for news from the Norfolk area. There are sometimes Livestreams of vessels leaving or entering port there.

The uber driver won't be able to get on base. If you are going to be there a couple days it would be cheaper to just rent a car

Since your recruit has contracted within the A-PACT program, the information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you.

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to Pensacola the day after PIR, but may fly out on Sunday due to flight availability issues. Plan to leave on Sunday if you are able. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Your recruit may discover his first duty station while in BC. If he does, then let me know where he will be stationed? What vessel, if one? I will have info for you.

Divisions 327 and 328 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.
