Hi Kristi; hope you are doing well, and I think when our Sons are ready to call they will. I know my son does not like to show me the softer side of him, dont get me wrong he is a caring young man. When we dropped him off at the Rec Center on 2-2-2010 I was balling my eyes out and he came over held me in his arms and said "Mom, its okay dont cry I will be just fine" he gave me a kiss on the head and sasid see you later.
We will get our call, just hold tight to your phone. Looking forward to meeting all the Moms, Wifes, GF's Take Care

Hang in there, Kristi. Keep busy! I know I've broke down crying, just seeing kids about that age in camo gear. Everything makes me think of my son and miss him so much. Just think of how wonderful it's going to be to hold him again at PIR. It's coming soon. Do what you can to distract yourself. As they say - to kill time, try working it to death. Staying busy will make it seem to go faster. Hold on, we're here for you.

I haven't received any personal letters yet, just the form letter. I hear they get time to write on Sundays, so hopefully in a few days, I'll hear something.

My son left for GL Feb 3 also. I called his recruiter this morning and got his address (couldn't wait for him to mail it to me). I'll know his PIR date later this week. My son is on ship 3, Div 139.

Welcome. Your Username appears to contain your last name. If so, you may want to change it AND your web address (URL) above so they do not include your last name to keep everyone safer. See http://www.navyformoms.com/group/newmomsstophere/forum/topics/if-your-user-name-contains to tell you how to do BOTH. Blessings to you and yours.
