Since you have a Sailor, you can change "At Boot Camp now" above to “Enlisted.”

There are no groups for just loved ones of Enigneman (EN), but you may find some in Engineers and there is a new group, Surface Engineering for those that have Loved Ones in these fields DC EM EN GSE GSM HT MM MR you can check out. You will also want to join Great Lakes A School Q&A and GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page.

The Rating Information Card for EN can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/en.pdf. Hi Krissy, so sad about not being able to attend graduation. I can't understand why some SRs will be going through unsecured areas with open civilian access at the airports and some SRs staying at GL will not be able to see their families. Heartbroken. Here's hoping things will change by the time Apr 17 arrives.

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. Be sure to write and ask what your recruit will be doing during PIR so you will know where to watch for him in the videos and at PIR.

Write to your recruit and ask when Battle Stations-21 (BST) will be so you will know when to expect the "I'm a Sailor!" call.

There is info on Ship 02 and more in Ship/Division--How it Works.

The Page, What does ??? mean? (A Guide to Navy Abbreviations and Terminology), will help you with many of the new terms you will come across.

Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.

This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.

Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
