I'm sorry to hear that you haven't heard anything from your daughter. It seems like the old adage "no news is good news" is not necessarily the case. I am still waiting to hear from mine on whether she made the run this morning or not. My finger is on the "buy" button for plane tickets leaving out in the morning. I'm still sad that the moment I thought my daughter was going into BS she called and said she was going into FIT. Then I was thrilled to hear that they could PFA and BS today and graduate on time, but without knowing if she passed PFA I have no idea if I'm flying up or not. This really wreaks havoc on one's work schedule. Thank God I have a great boss! Now if the kid would just call!!  8-}

Hey Laura - How did your daughter do?  I heard from my daughter a couple of hours ago and got my silver linings.  ;-) Apparently the 13 girls (096) that were sent to FIT will be able to run tomorrow morning (Thursday) instead of waiting until Friday. If they pass they'll do BS that night and watch their division march - at least they graduate with their division.  Because of the delays she will not be flying out to FL Saturday morning and will have weekend liberty. She wants her dad and I to be there, in the stands with her.  ;-) Unfortunately I cancelled everything and now the cost of airfare is too much for her father, but I am planning on flying up there. I'm thinking Friday would be better because tomorrow is going to be crazy! I won't get to watch her division PIR, but I'll have time with her. God bless our girls and their great attitudes and PLEASE give them swift feet and endurance!!!!

Thanks Laurajo, the recruiters at the FF mall were very helpful to me, but nothing like you ladies here...my son is excited/nervous and all of the above. The job he has at the end of BC is MA so I'm guessing he will be going to Texas (if I read the spreadsheet right). Thanks!

Hi Laurajo -

I found out that it could be either O'Hare or Midway and because there are so many sailors they can leave either Saturday or Sunday.  ;-( I'm hoping the majority leave out of Midway and my daughter leaves Saturday. I've also read that our sailors will know right before graduation or sooner although I doubt they'd have enough time to send that info in a letter.  I think I may ask my daughter to tell me what she knows during her "I'm a Sailor" call so if I need to I can rearrange my travel.  Good luck!
