OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

It amazing how much that phone call puts us at ease.   My husband is the same way with answering the phone.  They are always laughing at me for answering the phone for unknown numbers.  But since our Son have been gone, my rule is ANSWER ALL OF THE CALLS!   Did you son mention the IT (intense training) they have been going through?  My son didn't but I did hear about it through this website.  I hope it is over for them!  I guess I know why his feet have been killing him.   I pray that they have learned to work as a team.....
