My son left for BC on 4/10(2 days ago) and I still cant seem to find any comfort. I miss him like crazy, and am still crying when I think of him. I keep going to his room just to see if I can feel his presents,
When people try to console me I just walk away. Everything they say makes me cry harder.. How do I make this feeling go away? I feel like I have abandoned him, and I just want my baby back. I feel physically sick to my stomach, and Alone. I know I'm not alone, my 13 year old…

No, Shawn left from Kentucky. I just got back to California last week. Im a traveling Nurse, just took a contract here. My oldest son, Wes, attends CSU, Stanislaus.
I was really happy when I saw you have a son in the same ship/div. Its nice to have someone so close. I am able to get off work long enough to fly back for his graduation June 8th, so Im looking forward to seeing him.
I am so proud of my son, and yours, and all the young men and women that choose to serve our country.
Hi Jeramy's mom. This is Starksmom. I read your post last night and it reminded me of how hard that first week was when my daughter, Sean, left for bootcamp (March 13th.). I just wanted to let you know that all of us understand how hard this seperation is. You will get your form letter soon with an address so you can send the letters I'm sure you've written. Expect to cry, a lot, when you get the box with his belongings. On the other hand, you will be elated when you get his first letter, and let me tell you what happened with my daughter. After Sean left I never went anywhere without my cell phone. I heard that the kids can sometimes call after a few weeks. I even took it with me to check the mail. One day my oldest daughter talked me into going shopping with her and I somehow forgot to take my phone with me. Seeing how stressed I was without it, my daughter turned the car around and we came home to get it. Well, wouldn't you know that about an hour later, as we were shopping, my phone rang and I can't tell you how excited I was to hear my daughter's voice on the other end. She was able to talk to me for twenty minutes and it was wonderful. After that day I was able to get through a whole day without crying. My daughter sounded tired but she was still my funny, happy, beautiful kid. She was okay and that's really what I needed to know. I hope you get that phone call soon. In the meantime, do whatever you need to do to hang in there
come join me in chat room we can chat about the navy and your son
