Hey Linda, I just reread your post telling me where you live and wanted to let you know that we are actually right down the street from Carrolltowne Elementary directly off Ridge Road towards Marriottsville.  We live in Harvest Farms on Cable Drive.  We will have to get together again soon.

That was great that you were able to keep your phone on in class...just in case, but, I know you were glad to be able to talk to him while you were in your car, and without any distractions :) I know what you mean about getting more info out of him yesterday. I finally got answers to all those questions I had. My son told me the same thing about their division doing great. He did say, they had gotten "complacent" in the last couple weeks and had to do IT, but all in all, they had done a good job. He loved BS, but he missed the capping ceremony due to the fact that while they were standing there and exhaustion, he must have locked his knees, and he PASSED OUT! I hate that so bad for him, for missing the best part. He didn't seem too upset though. I probably hate it worse than he does. He still got his ball cap :) I asked him if he would be able to call home again before PIR but he didn't know. I'm keeping my phone close though, just in case. I also asked about the flags and they had gotten all their flags, so that is great. To be honest, I had been a little worried about them due to the fact you and I had little info and just didn't know how they were doing. He said the girls had more trouble getting along than the boys. haha I guess that's kind of typical though. I hope they do great with Captains Cup today. I look forward to finally meeting you and everyone as well. See you on the 21st :)

Hey  Linda

Thank you so much!! I cannot tell you how stressed I've been over the last week and not knowing ANYTHING!!! I was just beside myself when I read that he was ok. I certainly thanked God for the blessing, that's for sure. And yes, it does seem that other divisions have gotten calls and ours haven't. It kinda makes me wonder why..... I don't know. At this point, I'm just counting down the days til Friday.

Your son sounds like my son. I never get a lot of information as to whats coming up either, so I have to rely on others for information. I haven't gotten anymore letters this week so I don't know anything else. Of course I was worried all day yesterday about the PFA. But according to comments on RTC fb page, if they don't pass the running part of the PFA, then they still have time to retake it. I'm just praying that he was healthy enough to have passed it yesterday. Just like you, I'm ready for this to be OVER and I know my son is too!!! Hopefully, by this time next week, we will have gotten our "I'm a sailor" call.

Hey Linda

Have you heard anything about when BS will be? I had asked my son a while back to let me know and he never has answered me. The only letter I have gotten this week was Mon and it was mostly just telling us about his hurt leg. I thought you might know something.
