FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks so much for your thoughts and support.. I wrote your # down. The only people I talk to about this is my best friend, my mom and his grandfather(on other side of family).  I hope he calls today.  I read that they usually get to call on sundays in the FIT program.  Please have fun with your sailor and hold him til he squeals!! That's what mom's are for.  When Caleb gets to come back home I'm going to parade him around like a newborn!!!

hi--if you look across at right from this note the column say PIR 12/21/12 Sarge's Meet and Greet dec 20 sundance saloon 5:30 - 9 pm and its free and they shuttle you to hottl from there.  I get into town approx 6 so will be a little late getting to event.  Alsoyou need to RSVP to it--they have several listed, make sure you get right one!!

If you look at PIR stories it says to sit about 2nd tier up--not on floor level so you can see more and what all are doing- get better pix-I can't wait for those doors to open!!

nevermind!! I read your posting about hotel, car, and plane tix!!

I have hotel and plane tix and going to Sarge's meet and greet.

What is your sons' 1st name--I will ask Caleb if he knows him when we talk again.

He is from Richmond, Va and I'm single mom so flying alone--1st time--going into milwaukee--cheaper that ohare--20th and ret 21st 4 pm--will be glad to see my baby.

He will be home about 8 days after ckg into SC 1st--I'll bet they want some sleep and a soft bed and a home cooked meal., and a phone!!
