I would imagine that yes, there are a few making plans for liberty if they know each other are solo. And I will of course understand that would be his first choice ... but wanted him to have a back up opportunity. I am pretty sure Aaron wants steak that first night on liberty.
Let's stay in touch.
I adopted four other recruits (2 girls and 2 boys) two weeks ago when Iris was heading that up. I sent out another card to them today and it dawned on me that if they don't have anyone writing them AT ALL ..... I wonder if they don't have anyone coming to graduation .... or even worse, no one to call to say "I'm a Sailor". So in today's card I mentioned that if they need someone to call with that all important message, they were welcome to call me and gave them my number. I hope that isn't presumptuous of me, but I thought it was better to offer and them not need someone ..... than to not say something and they have no one to call.
I imagine Craig will take pictures for you, but if not, I would be happy to if we can hook up with Alex, or Alexander. You need pictures!!!
My son's name is Aaron Jennejahn. I loved how you wrote your son's name as they now write it. Do you know how we would address them after they graduate? It must have something to do with their rate ...... I still have so much to learn.
