OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi Skye - so my son said he's made friends with a guy from Florida.  Maybe it's your hubby.  He said he is a nuke too......

Hi SkyeA - I'm not on facebook but my youngest son is and he went on the 900's Division FB page and found pix of my SR!  We saw him 4 exciting to see him working the 11/21 PIR.  My son's GF joined N4M but she isn't very active...she is "BamsGirl". Trying to get her to join some groups.....she will be at PIR with us.  Will you be at Sarge's Meet N Greet?  We've had 2 "real" phone calls and it was so nice to hear from him.....glad you are doing well!

Hi SkyeA - if you go to about page 4 of the Boot Camp moms group you will see where lemonelephant answered my question about 900 divisions.  She explained it in great detail!  It's pretty cool what the 900 divisions do.......exciting that our SR's will be involved in that.  I'm still waiting for the letter.......

Hi SkyeA - I haven't received my son's letter yet but I just got a fax from his recruiter.  It says he is ship02/div904.  Do you know what date PIR is?  My son is also going to be a nuke.....I thought 900 divisions were performing divisions?  Do you know if that is true? If so I'm not sure why my son would be in it - LOL.  We got the box on Friday and we are in California.....Just wish the "official" letter would come now!
