DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

My sons birthday is in 5 days and I asked him what he will like? He said just to be able to hug you mom and hug dad. I wish that could happen but we are still waiting for captain mast at Great Lakes.…Continue
Stephanie - I am just letting you know that I have accepted your request to join the Christian Navy Moms group. Please come join us and introduce yourself. We don't post a lot, but when we do, it is often for a prayer request, so I encourage you to follow our comments via email. The group should be showing up on your profile page here to the left. I apologize that I did not post a note here when I accepted you into the group the other day, to let you know. Since I am now an admin of that group and it requires approvals before members can join, I am still learning the ropes some. :-)
Stephanie, I have accepted you into both of the groups! Welcome.
Stephanie, I see that LeAnn has sent you a friend request. Do you know how to accept it? She will likely have the best information to share with you. If you aren't sure about how the "friends" work here is the link to a discussion that I have posted elsewhere on this site.
Stephanie - It looks like B'sNukeMom (one of our admins) has posted a welcome note to you below. I think she was doing it as I was typing and it just showed up for me.
Here are links to the two groups I mentioned if you would like to join - Beyond BC - Navy For Moms (ning.com)
This one will allow you to join automatically when you click the Join button in the upper corner. The following, if you would like to join, ✟CHRISTIAN NAVY MOMS - Navy For Moms (ning.com)
will require me to accept your request and I may not get to it immediately, I am sorry.
I am a group admin on these groups, but I am not a site admin. Only the site admins are able to accept someone to N4M or know who joined. I am sure that one of them will post a welcome to you as well when they are able. We all volunteer or time on this site and no one holds special "hours" here. I am sorry if you are looking for more legal information or something.
Hi Stephanie, Did you get accept to the N4M site or a specific group on the site? - Part of it is how this site works with mobile devices versus something like FB. It is not as up to date for Mobile devices and not everyone "follows" the main N4M group discussions.
I have posted a note on my Beyond BC group and we also have lifted you and your sailor up in prayer in the Christian Navy Moms group. Whether you feel comfortable or not being a part of those groups are up to you, but they are two groups on this site that I am a part of.
This site is made up of moms, a few dads, and other loved ones who join and visit and share their experiences. Some of our more "veteran" moms who might have more information for you are probably not on the site today, or as able to reply since it really is easier to use this site if you are on a computer versus a mobile device.
If you are using a mobile device, be sure to put it into desktop mode.
I wish I could give you more answers, but unfortunately I don't have any and probably the others who have viewed your post, don't either and that is why they have not given any feedback.
Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!
Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations and Security (OPSEC) Checklist , for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.
Then jump right in! Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.
Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.
Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!
Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question. This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor. Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
Your NAVYforMoms Admins
Please note - there are blue hyperlinks up above. Click on them and they will take you directly to the groups.
Stephanie - I am not seeing you are a part of any specific group other than the N4M and it isn't even showing when you were accepted.
I wanted to reach out to you. You posted your message in the general discussion versus a specific group so you may not receive a lot of replies and not everyone is likely to see these, so I wanted to reach out to you and say hi. I am actually not likely to be back on the rest of the day, but I wanted to share my hugs as I know this is a tough place to be in as a mom - the not knowing and no control.
