FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hoping to make it to Sarge's M&G - but not sure with the late flight we are on then the drive up.   Sure as heck gonna try.  I think we are staying at the Navy Lodge - not sure what the hubby decided on.

I asked my son if he knew Shaun,  I haven't received an answer back.   I am guessing your son know's my son - he is the mailman.  I dont know if they call him AJ or Alexander.

Hey there Kathy, do you think it's because you live in il? Maybe they only allow calls for out of staters? I think that's terrible but maybe that's why! I think you're better off anyway, my son sounded robotic and down. I can't get the call out of my head. I'm dying to hear his voice sound normal and upbeat again! Keep me posted....let us all know when you get that first letter and/or call. I'll be posting when I get mine! Hang in there!

Hi Kathy, welcome! Your son and my son left the same day and are in the same ship/Div!. I haven't received any mail yet either. I got his box and PIR letter, that's it!

Hi kathy1959, how are you? I believe letters may start comeing next week or so they can only write on sundays,and they should get a phone call around the third week or so. We can all learn this together!! thats the great thing about this site!!
