OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

'The box' made its appearance today and everything my son left with was in the box along with a few extras like his boarding pass, a rubber band, and a piece of sticker from his Navy issued socks. I got a giggle out of it, its so like him to do something like this. :) Always finding ways to make…

We're getting closer to seeing our boys again!  I can't wait!  Last week was harder on me than when he first left!  How are travel plans coming?  We're staying at the Navy Lodge. Have a great weekend!

Hi Allison!  I see that you got your form letter!  Hooray! I'm not sure why my son will be done early, but I don't want to jinx anything by calling the recruiter! ha ha  Hope everything is going well for you.  I'm just trying to stay really busy to make the time go by faster.  Take care!

Hi!  I was shocked to find the form letter in the mailbox on Monday!  I wasn't expecting it until the end of the week!  Have you heard anything yet?  My son is on Ship 03 DiV 316 and he graduates on Sept 28, which is early.

Talk to you soon!
