Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Thanks also for the tips on shipping. I didn't know you had to fill out a customs form for FPO addresses. Interesting. That may be why my husband didn't get packages I sent him way back when. But you would think they would have told me that at the post office. But that was a long time ago also.
Hope you feel better soon. At least you know that your using muscles you haven't used in a while. : )
Hi Anita,
We got about 7" of snow from Pax when it was all said and done. Not much but in the South that is enough to close you down for 2-3 days. I only worked 1 1/2 days last week because of it. The main roads were clear but back roads, parking lots, and driveways were a mess. I was dressed and ready to go to work on Thursday and Friday but the boss called and said don't bother. Crazy stuff. But it is back to the grind tomorrow.

I see you joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!! We are a friendly, caring group of moms always willing to listen and support. Please feel free to jump in and join our chats!! We like to discuss everything from our sailors to our jobs, weather, whatever. It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!! Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!! I have a daughter and a son serving now and another daughter is enlisted but finishing up her last year of college at Akron. Then she'll go to OCS and two years of flight school. I'm also from OH - glad to see you joined that group as well. Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!
