that's tough news about your daughter.  I hope she will retest if she is committed to enlisting.  I wonder if the Recruiter has any insight or advice.  I know they can say things they can't really commit to and that they are motivated to get recruits.  I don't know what else to say.  To get that far and be turned away is not what you would expect.

Diane,

I'm excited and nervous for my son Joshua as well.  It's a great opportunity but this will be his first time away from home, away from family.  I just have to trust I have prepared him for this next step.  I think I have.  At least I hope I have.

Yes, Josh is on facebook I provided a link to his profile here.

This next month is going to go by way to fast.  I will stay in touch and hopefully see you at graduation!!

Until then,

Lisa

Diane,

This is very hard, not only does my daughter leave, but my son leaves for the Air Force on March 17th.  I hope all goes well for your family and that we can meet at Graduation.

We have a Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbie (clickable link). You'll find everything to get started. Videos, pdf files of boot camp processing days, links to all the important groups plus tips on how to use this site. Best part is it'll be here on your very own page as a reference. Click the MY PAGE tab on above menubar to access your page anytime - you should do it at least once a day to see if you have any postings on your comment wall (like this one). Good luck.

BunkerQB,

P.S. It looks like you are off to a good start. Soon, you'll be heading to MEPS. Have your recruit join the website created just for recruits. The link is in the guide.
