Graduation 8/23/2013 will go down in history as moments to treasure forever. What an enjoyable, exciting time we had in Great Lakes. Tons of photos captured and special moments shared with my son while eating, shopping, chatting & chilling @ the local malls in Great Lakes. Now we wait ... because he has been transferred to ship 5, on hold for Pensacola A School. Any other Moms will same interest? 14/318

Hallelujah! 2 1/2 weeks till Graduation for PIR 08/23/2013. Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. In Isaiah we read - "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles". I pray the peace of God be with my Sr as he begins this new journey to greater and more glorious things.” He will spread his wings to heights unknown. I just got home & FOUND a LETTER in the mail from my son. Apparently it came last Fri 7/19 or Sat 7/20 & my husband didn't see it. In many ways I am *Happy* :) but Sad. I could not read the Letter from crying. He said it was hard for him to hold back the tears while writing to me.

I've lost count of the letters & cards I've written to my Sr. Countless thought continue to flood my mind. I find myself continuously jotting down notes to write in my letters. Just think, we're half-way to PIR day. What a Grand and Glorious Day that will be. I can hardly wait to share those magical moments in time with my Sr. Moments to treasure for a lifetime.

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones); I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members). Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted". What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
Do you feel that the time is going by quickly?
I think he'll probably graduate in the beginning of September.... I'm waiting for the form letter to tell me when his PIRS will be
