OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I see you have joined the Cryptology group; since your SR has a contract for one of the Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you.

What will your SR's rating (job/specialty) be? There will be other info I can direct you to.

Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted." I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
