In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

A little about me:
I am 39 years old with 2 children of my own and I have a stepson. My oldest son, 18 just made it to Navy bootcamp yesterday, (June 20, 2010). Someone told me about this website and I thought I would check it out. My husband I'm married to now is a 20 year retired veteran from the Navy. I don't know what else to say, I'm so nervous and sad and I miss my son so much and it's only been one day.
I am here to support my

Was proud and encouraged it

I have no experience with the Navy only what my husband has told me from when he was in it. He retired after 20 years in 2006. I'm at a loss.

Okay, I said yesterday that I got the box but was very disappointed that there wasn't an address in the box.  When do we get the address? :(

Well I received my son's box today. I got a little teary eyed but held it together. It was
really strange to see all of his clothes in there. Now I'm waiting on his address and date
of his graduation. It will be a week tomorrow that he's been gone so only 8 weeks to go!!

Sent you a friend request on FB.  I have my settings to where only friends could find my name on there.  When I looked up your name again, then I had a friend request button.

I sent you a message in Facebook.  It should be in your inbox in the "Others" folder.

It's under Donna Chauvin Minchey.  I just changed my settings to allow everyone to send a friend request.  I had it set to just Friends of Friends.  My sons' name is David.  I am writing to him now and telling him about this...lol.  There is also a group on Facebook PIR 08/23/13 TG#41.  Lots of good people/info on here too!

I see you on there, but I can't find a friend request button??

I have a Facebook account.  It's Donna Minchey.  Look for me there.  That would be good to talk on there also.  I will let my son know.

I feel the same way!  I can't wait to write to my son tonight to tell him I met you on here.  I'm sure he and your son know each other.

At least the one who has to sit out will get to see him afterwards.  Not sure what we'll do after PIR.  I guess whatever he wants!  If he just wants to go back to the room and chill or go somewhere.  I know there is a limit as to how far they can travel from base and they have to be back by a certain time.  I've read to make sure that you have him back to the base in plenty of time for him to check back in.  I sure don't want to do anything to get him trouble.  Have you seen some people put on here or on Facebook to bring a Tide pen because they can't get anything on their uniform?

That's us...lol. are yall going to drive or fly up there? We're going to drive and make a vacation of it. I guess I've been knowing this was coming since he and his brother were in fourth grade. Now I have one son in Illinois and my daughter's in New Orleans. Still one at home though.
