OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones); I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) for information on what to expect while you have a recruit and to help you prepare for PIR. Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted". I see your SR has a contract for DC; you will also want to join, or at leasst check out, GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page. You may also find others with loved ones with that rating in Engineers, Snipe Moms, and Snipe Moms(enginers). The Rating Information Card for DC can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/dc.pdf. You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. (See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend.) Take care and blessings to you and yours.
