The dates on the last batch of letters are from 6/27 thru 7/4 :) I know exactly what you mean, I love knowing that your Sailor is with my Sailor :) Wouldn' that just be so cool if they were bunk mates or something! I love that they at least know each other at this point :) Do you, by any chance, know which day of the week each new "week" starts for them? I am trying to keep track of what they might be doing at any given point but it is hard because I don't really know which "week" they are in and when the new ones start.

Amber, will be keeping you all in my prayers. So sad as I know he would have been SO PROUD when Brad got to PIR. But I think he still will be proud...and will be with you all in spirit. I agree with the others that you probably are doing the right thing by not sharing this with Brad now. I hope he doesn't ask you about his grandpa which may force you to make a decision on what to say...let's pray that you don't have to share this news with him until after the celebration of PIR. I will be praying...so very sorry for your loss.

Thanks Amber. I hope that we receive "the letter" soon as well. As I said in a previous post, it doesn't get easier the fourth time around. I think that it is harder on her dad--he retired from the Navy three years ago--Eryn is "daddy's girl. As for myself--I miss her too--but I am planning on giving her recruiter a little CPO (I am still in the Navy Reserves)courtesy call tomorrow. We are wondering a little about her recruiter--our daughter wanted him to pick her up at the house rather that Denis and I to "hand deliver" her to MEPs last Monday. But like a "cheap date" he would not even come to the door, just waited in the car for her. I think that he could have given us a little courtesy in regards to that. Maybe he thinks that this is old hat for us---but no it is still as nail biting as the first time. So anyway, hopefully, one way or the other, we will have her ship/div and PIR date in hand tomorrow. Thank you for being there!

Hi Amber, The Ramada sets that all up for you. HOWEVER, what the moms on here usually do is provide the "extra" things. Such as deciding if you want each division moms to wear different colored scarves, corsages, sashes, etc. so they you can easily recognize each other by division. I believe that the Ramada provides blank name tags, but some may want to make "special" nametags with profile pik on them for easy recognition by other moms This is all up to your group. However you want to handle it. If you are willing to get it started, you might post on the group to see if another mom will be willing to work with you on this. You obviously can only work with those on N4M's even though you will find that others show up at the Meet N Greet who have not been on this site. There is just no way to cover everyone. I would suggest that you take a peek into previous PIR groups on here and read through some of their posts. You can get an idea of what they did. One group assigned a different color scarf for each division, and one mom very kindly brought "extra" scarves in her division colors for others. It is completely up to whatever you all want to do! But as far as the Meet N Greet itself, the Ramada handles it all. Let me know if you have other questions!
