OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."

If your Username contains your last name or is easily associated with you or your Sailor, then also make changes 1 and 2 to change your Username and the URL (address) to your My Page.

There may be other changes you need to make as wellso read and consider each of the changes.

Hi Leitzkes,

Wondering if you got an answer about Sarge's Meet and Greet regarding your teenager? We too will have a 14 and 16 yr old and that will determine if we are going to this one. I have been told that the Ramada Meet and Greet is for all ages so just wondering. Have a great day!

Welcome to NavyForMoms.com!!

I hope you get all the information here you are looking for.  Please stop by the Survival Guide for New Moms for some of the info to start with.
If you have a new Recruit and need phone cards for them please check out Calls for Recruits.org and get them for FREE.  I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp.  The link above will take you to the website to send the email for the FREE phone cards if you need them.  Please spread the word if you know of anyone who can use this great service!!!
