OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When did your child enlist?  I read your post that you have some concerns.  I hope there is something I can help you with.  My son is getting ready to graduate on the 15th.  Through his letters, I can see the transformation from a shy, fearful boy to a strong and confident young man.  I couldn't be more proud.  If you are more comfortable with private email, I can send that to you to your N4M inbox.  Just let me know.

Hi and Welcome.

I’ve been gone a few days for our wedding anniversary.  So, please excuse the late hello.

We are happy to have you on the Navy for Moms site.  You are invited to join either the Illinois or Missouri family page as listed below.  It is a great way to find families in your area and even help plan meet and greets. We also have some packing parties for our troops overseas getting together.

Looking forward to hearing from you in one of our groups!
