OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED.  Vaccinations still required.

**UPDATE 11/10/22 PIR - Vaccinations no longer required.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

A little about me:
Hi I'm Sue,
I live in Idaho and I'm a happily married proud mom of 3 . Two sons and one daughter.
My husband is retired airforce (22) years, so it will be nice to be a part of the Navy family too.!!!
My 18 year old son left for bootcamp 17th Aug, graduated 10/14.
I am here to support my
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy career?
When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
My son will have a good future.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I live in Lakeland, Florida, its nice to meet you.

What is your sons job?

My son is an AMAA, his name is Landon Anderson , 137 , Lemoore California the Kestrils, he works on the F18s.

He is also fairly new to the Navy, he graduated PIR 8/5/11 went to C school in Pensacola and went to LeMoore, thinking he would go on to his A school to find out three days later he was being deployed. He seems to be enjoying his job.

I sure do miss him!

We should be checking in about 5pm. Then I think we'll be going to the Meet'nGreet. Hope to see you!

So, in my son's  last letter he told me that he's passed the PFA and the division won their 2nd academic flag (he's the recruit academic PO), flagged their 2nd test and drill inspection.  He said he'd been sick, but had requested to be fit full full duty, which they allowed (although they looked at him strangely:)

If he WAS ASMO, wouldn't they let him call home to say his PIR had changed?

Thank you...I am glad you enjoy them. I am actually not done! Had a bit of an interruption as DH came home from deployment! Our son is the Sailor. So I will continue on soon hopefully!

Glad you are halfway through!
