Thank you letting me add you as a friend. I joined the ET/FC group. Thanks so very much for the info. I did a search and thought you would be my best bet to ask. Glad I listened to my instincts. lol

I added you as a friend to see if you found an ET group. My son graduated 8/27/10 and is to do ET A-School Great Lakes. Can't seem to find a current group for this.

Our son is an FC and is currently stationed in Hawaii, my husband was an FC for over 10 years as well. I had lunch with a local mom yesterday and her son graduated from boot camp last Friday. Her recruiter also expected her son to be an FC but after boot camp they told him ET but both are great rates so he is in a good place either way. We will look forward to hearing about your PIR excitement!

Hi, wanted to welcome you to the AECF group! Looks like you are getting ready to have a NEW sailor! Congratulations to you and him, I hope that you are getting to attend the PIR - it is fabulous. You probably don't know yet if he is an ET or an FC but both are wonderful rates with lots of schooling on the front end. Expect him to be in GL for about a year for A school and then he will move to another state for C school - locations and length will be determined at the end of A school. Our group is a busy one, stop by often and please let us know if you have questions.

I believe it is a library over 100 yrs old, with unusual architecture in it. I scanned that part of the paper really fast! Sorry I don't have more info!

Hi Joan,
Was reading some of your recent postings...wow, I'll be thinking of you on Thurs. 8/5 while you're driving. A 2 year old and an 80 year old....you're a brave woman! I hope I make it in time for the Meet-n-Greet too. I'm looking forward to it. Have you received a call from Brian lately? I'm still waiting for one from Brandon. Just wondering how their Div is doing...Hope you're having a good weekend, Kathy

The "accept" friend selection finally worked. It tripped up the first couple times....

Great to hear that you got a letter from Brian! Glad to be friends, Joan.

Yeah--you got a letter, a tentative PIR date, and plans! It took us about 5.5 hrs to get up to GL. We did somethng funny in one letter to boot camp. Went to one of his favorite fast food joints, got a clean food wrapper, and put it in a letter. He said they all got a good laugh out of that!
