So Finally we got our 1st letter from our daughter. Her pir is 10/19. It was very emotional for me, but i am so very proud of my changa and know that she is gonna be successful. I can't wait to see her. It was so good to hear from her and know that she is ok. I guess that we just needed that reassurance.

uugh! The waiting is killing us. Still no letter and no call. I know her recruiter said to wait at least 3 weeks, but just knowing that the call and/or letter could come any minute is horrible.Torture! Everyone says no news is good news. I don't know if my patience will hold. The suspense is really bad. The husband is also awaiting any news from her. He tells me just relax. Yes i should but then i remind him she is my 1st born how do i just relax? LOL! Well i'm off to do some "relaxing" i…

Hi, Renie... I received a couple of calls and letters from my daughter yesterday. Were you able to talk to your daughter yesterday? Because my daughter said her division was able to make calls around the same time. Where is your daughter going for A school? Which meet & greet are you attending? Take care.
Good morning Renie. I received my letters from my daughter yesterday. I'd like to thank you for messaging me to hang in there. It's been a whirlwind of emotions, it's crazy. Since my niece called me on Thursday (she's in New Mexico) and told me that she received a letter from my daughter, I had been stalking our mailman...crazy, right? But as soon as I got her letters yesterday, I have calmed down a lot. Like what you said on your previous post, I need that reassurance that she's ok. I am so glad our daughters are in the same division. Do you know if they can only mail us letters on Sundays? My daughter said that they get Sunday holidays starting today, where they will get to do whatever from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, I'm hoping for a phone call. Have a good day. Take care.
We're hanging in here! No letters yet, but I am hoping today might be the day!
Hi Renie, I completely understand what you are going through. My husband deployed to Afghanistan six months ago and now my daughter, who is an only child, has left to go to bootcamp. It has been very hard. I remember people telling me when my husband left that it would be harder when my child left. They were right, it has been extremely difficult. Guess what? I got her box on Monday and I have never been as excited to see her dirty laundry as I was when I opened the brown box.
I still have not received my form letter but I have already made hotel reservations. Crazy huh? I am just trying to stay positive about the whole experience. I pray that these two months go by quickly. If you need to talk send me a message and I will respond.
Hi! Yes it will get easier :) Once you start getting her letters and when you have her address and can send her's.Deep down I believe my son is doing just fine but I just need to hear that from him..Guess thats just the Mother bear in me haha. He was so excited about joining the Navy and we are so proud of him and tried to prepare him as much as we could. Brandon wasnt suppose to leave until Jan but a week before he left we got a call about an opening and he took it..So we went from thinking we had 5 months to just one week..I'm hear if you need to talk.
