OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi rmwjcpa- thought I would send you a message. Let me know if you would ever like to get together for coffee. It would be fun to connect with someone from this area. I am a teacher here in Newberg, and now I'm off for the summer. Sot it's easy for me to meet you somewhere. Isn't it great now that we can look forward to our boys coming home. We are so excited!

Thank you for your response, My son is turning 25 this August so I understand where you are coming from mine did a lot of unnecessary spending when he got out of College and was making that paycheck too he will come around and understand that saving his money will benefit him. When he get his ship assignment he will be responsible for paying for his ship meals when they are underway. so that comes from his pay automatically. So he will understand. Others around may step up and explain a lot of things to him too. Good luck with your son. If you would like to talk I am here. just friend me if you would like. Daphane

We weren't here when he called so he tried to call our daughter but she wasn't there to answer it either. He did leave a message on our home phone. He had called asking for information apparently for one of the forms they have to fill out. He sounded tired and said BC wasn't so bad. I'm staying close to the phone today so maybe he will get a chance to call again. I really hope you get to hear from your son soon. I know how hard it is waiting especially when you hear about others being able to call. It was hard for me when people were saying that they had gotten calls last Sunday already. My husband said it has a lot to do with the drill sargeant they get. (Or whatever they are called in the Navy.) I will be sending good thoughts your way this weekend and hoping you hear from your son soon.

I have been to Portland OR a couple of times and really liked it there! The scenery was much prettier than Dallas! I noticed that you crochet - I like to knit but do not have enough time for it. I used to work in tax prep but work for a large company as an analyst role now.
