Hi Sherri,
Can you recomend a hotel for us. We are driving i from Jersey and there is Mw,my husband and my 5 other childern. So we are working with a budget. Thank You for your help.
Hi Sherri,
I thought we would receive a "confirmation packet", but I guess we will go ahead and make travel arrangements . I already took care of the hotel reservation and we are also staying at the Residence Inn. It seems to be a good deal. I will be traveling along with my husband and my 20 year old son.
Hi Sherri,
I am glad you replied! I am definetely planning on attending PIR I have not yet received an information packet and am I am not familiar with the area either. Any tips for travel arrangements?
Sherri,
I have not heard anything yet....still waiting and trying to be patient!
The nice thing about this website is all the various groups you can belong to. If you know when she is supposed to leave for bc you can look for a group of other members who have a sailor leaving on that same date. Search for deppers leaving ______. Then when she gets to bc and you know her ship/div and PIR date you can search for groups who have the same PIR date or ship/div. Unfortunately I didn't know about this site when my daughter went to bc back in July of 08. A couple of the groups I belong to are because of where my daughter is stationed now. It's so nice to talk to people who are right there by her. Several moms got together once and took my daughter and several other sailors out to dinner. I got to see the pics on the website and it was so nice to see her happy and having fun!!!
