Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

An Update

Last year, I was happy to announce that my Sailor had rejoined the fleet as a Reservist.  Since then, he has gotten a job he loves with our state’s 2-year college system.  He places formerly incarcerated men & women in jobs following their training. And he earned an Ed.S.  So what’s the problem, right?  No problem, except that his superiors came to him with the proposal that he resubmit his officer packet. Profile Information

A little about me:
I am the Mother of 2 boys, ages 21 & 24. I am also a guidance counselor. My 24-yr-old is assigned to Mayport, FL. He's a DC. We drove to PIR. What a journey that was! PIR day was the happiest day of my life! It was joyful to see my sailor & his transformation. Since then, he has been deployed once & promoted to DC3! I have 21-yr-old son as well.

The high school recruiter I worked with was extremely well-liked at our school. The seniors I knew who came back to visit once in the Navy were very happy. The Navy keeps you informed and looks after their own.

I wish I knew what was going through his head.  He wants to be a screen writer but he is so gifted in Math and Science......He could be anything he wanted to be.  I still have hope.  He just moved back home with some serious rules....if he breaks them he's gone even though it will be the hardest thing for me to do and break my heart.

I sent a message to your inbox for a little 'privacy'  My son is Benjamin he will be going to A school there in GL for ACEF.  I'm sad that I have had no letters or calls-I guess if he is still Division Yeoman, he may not even have time to do any of that.

hey there my son leaves monday for MEPS and will be in GL on tuesday, there is 2 leaving from our area im in Michigan, this is my second son in the Navy now my other son is deployed in the middle east right now so my NFM page is all messed up because he does not want me posting any info or pictures about him lol he is a officer on a ship..so he went a diffrent route in joining the navy so all this great lakes stuff is all so new to me ttys Diana
